Yeghegnadzor Museum of Regional Studies
The only Yeghegnadzor museum, which has an important role in the cultural and scientific life, is the Geological Museum of Yeghegnadzor. It was founded back in 1968 and is included in the list of immovable monuments of history and culture of Yeghegnadzor.
The architect of the new building of the museum is Tamara Kazhoyan. Currently, the number of exhibits exceeds 9435. Here you can see archeology, ethnography, numismatics, personal funds, sculpture, nature and other departments.
The department of archeology is of great interest. Here you can see unique historical samples found in Vayots Dzor region from different times. The ethnographic collection tells about the history, lifestyle, habits, and beliefs of the 17th-20th centuries.
Cultural and historical scientific researches are often conducted. Cultural events and educational programs are organized regularly.
